Our Focus Areas
NHDA’s councils bring together professionals from member companies to tackle the industry’s biggest issues, share best practices, and shape the programs and events we offer all members. Any member can get involved.

Advocacy: Monitors state and federal legislation affecting final-mile delivery and makes sure the industry’s voice is heard by policymakers.

Research (New): Guides NHDA’s research program, including the Big & Bulky Study, so members have the data they need to benchmark and plan.

Risk Management: Helps members reduce risk across their operations, from crew and driver safety to insurance, claims, and contractor compliance.

Sustainability: Shares practical ways to reduce environmental impact, from fuel efficiency to recycling, and supports our partnership with EPA SmartWay.

Women in Home Delivery: Supports and advances women across the industry through mentoring, networking, and the annual WHDC Reception.
NHDA offers leading events and programs throughout the year. Our Annual Forum and Leadership Retreat are recognized as the premier thought-leadership events in our industry, while our virtual webinar and member call series delivers substantive insights from subject matter experts on key industry topics. The Women in Home Delivery Council networking reception rounds out the calendar, creating space for collaboration and peer-to-peer networking.
The NHDA Foundation supports the NHDA Leadership Institute, a yearly class offering a three-part professional development course in partnership with High Point University.

The National Home Delivery Association Foundation's mission is to advance educational and other charitable activities on behalf of the association and the bulky goods delivery industry.
In addition to the Leadership Institute, the Foundation awards a yearly $10,000 scholarship for higher education to a family member of someone employed by our member companies.
